to apply

Wrapped up in a big box
everyone is having a great week so far
mythical creatures and beings from thin air
doing their thing, in front of 1200 people
I always feel SO out of place
but we had fun

a whole lot of birthday cake

That awkward standing around,
the excuse that I cannot find the time,
I came here to say
all you need

I read a recent science report that said that
after a sleep of twenty years the old craft awakes
to see what they had in there had never been opened

the factory

The desert is green
so I chose the cute little owl

the one on the blue and white fabric
my fingers were just itching
I can't help feeling I must be doing it wrong
in a fraction of the time

the white mulberry tree
reminding me about Bonaparte
there is someone to use my stash as well

disturbing a toad

So it's summertime here in upstate New York
this dangerously unstable little girl
talked Papa into a cherry pie eating contest
we made silly faces
creating spaceships
until our feet were killing us

grace

The funny thing about living in Texas
the fact that I worry about Christmas

24 hours / 7 days a week

The rain on Tuesday has certainly helped
and well-traveled city streets where the beauty of these trees is often overlooked
we eat with them, we sleep with them,

And lately I've been trying to keep my little heart thinking
I did not make the first iced sugar cookie, nor will I make the last.

Generally I am not afraid to fly.
We cut a thin plastic shim for the surface where the bellcranks rubbed against its housing bracket, but
I was also broke and on vacation

Here is a list of crap that needs to be in a bag before you go to the ER:
A bottle of pinot noir
Artist
vintage photos of New Orleans

Excellent (I was surprised)
in my safe little cage here in the zoo
I'd much rather be left alone

Quiet nights

as we head to Chili's
not only for the sake of enjoying some good or interesting topics
They treat it like a treasure hunt,
a great horned owl had come and alighted atop the flagpole in front of the restaurant

I recently got fitted for a pair of orthonics,
to help with the unsightly mom hips
I hope you stay with me.
It is not our place to judge.

The other day I broke out an ancient journal

The other day I broke out an ancient journal and
felt the stirring of something, desperately tried to stamp it out

I loved girls camp so much.
(which is a huge praise)
Glow bracelets and wands
a peach shake and spicy patty melt
a huge statue of a troll under a freeway bridge

Nights found the adults playing Scrabble
just being a part of this great big
freaking ninja sword
joining a diaper free world.

tonight she also loved how it felt between her fingers,
feeling kinda guilty about it but not enough to do anything
but still, I missed out on my one chance

My Absence

some forgotten item brought back some obscure memory
what happened in palaces
painting my name on
leather and salt necklaces

Uncle Tom's rocket

It's been a busy month to say the least!
romantic-era liberal values, advertising, and consumerism
Aubrey had really started walking a lot.
his funeral was on Tuesday
This shouldn’t come as a surprise, and
I couldn't wait to get out of college so that I could take the gospel to the darkest places of the world.
let me assure you I sound incredibly sexy.

can I get an Amen?

before serving

We took them to the winery
in 3 hours on a slow Saturday afternoon.
Sounds simple, and I know it is, but
Time kind of rolled around
only the dingy, grey cement in the background

This is funny because
if you're surrounded by the tasty smells of bacon, and baking bread, and sauteeing onions...
After about 45 minutes in the sun
It makes you feel like you can do anything
like walking around with Christmas on my feet

Jerks were okay, though.
I like to take short cuts where I can
why not some leftover boiled rice?
Doesn't that sound good?

Me & My Kitchen

There I was fast asleep with my head rested back between the corner of the vanity and the wall
standing in my kitchen eating breakfast tacos from Whole Foods
toungue wagging
in Fircrest Washington, one of the most beautiful places on earth
hoping in the next few weeks to
place the order

Ok so I have been scrapping again -
Funny how I had great intentions

I like to do it quietly without leaving a mark
I keep waiting for the time when I have time -

I have just one small bag of things to use.
It's amazing what we can find in an old chinese shop near my house
a jolt of something
you can depend completely on
like a sort of an oilstain
but you know you should obey

The Rules of Next Blog Poetry

I hit the "Next Blog" button up top.

I skim through the first post or two, and pull a phrase that jumps out at me. I copy it into a New Post here.
I hit the next blog button again, and repeat, and repeat.
I try to do this quickly, never spending more than 30 seconds at a given blog.
I have to use a phrase from each 'next blog' I hit.

Sometimes the poem starts to form itself quickly, sometimes it doesn't. I stop when I feel like I have enough.

Then I play around with the lines I have, rearranging them. I never edit a phrase--they have to stay 'as is,' but I can cut words from the beginning or end. Each phrase has to be its own line of the poem, so each line comes from a different 'next blog.' I try to pick one to be the title.

Why? I like that all the noise on the interwebs can be mixed together into something new, and that all these little self-involved, self-sustaining worlds can be in conversation with each other, without knowing it. Also, blogs can get to be a little much, and poetry can get to be a little much, so there's some fun in throwing them unceremoniously together. And I like collages.

the pipers

Here is an example:

Tonight my wife made the most amazing Caprese Salad
Which I needed more than I knew.

it's been six years since my princess arrived,
acted like this little lass

Water influences everything here –
and these examples are inconsistent with that schema.

A lesser man would have

Some of the memories are:

Running shoes, helmet with sunglasses inserted, gloves, camel-back,
a new year. brilliant brown eyes. tidy cupboards.

No carnage or mishaps.

you can see the pitchforks full of steaks leaning on a rail.
and that's where the sio ba zhang came about. ha ha.

then the trump card:
It's almost as if they're surfing bikes, paddling out to the break.

Mi clase de Yoga (Os conflitos)

And from the front of the house...
I went fishing for the first time today.
It is the hallmark of exclusivity.

This is the kind of wild boar I'm talking about
It comes in 4 colours, and I decided to get the electric blue one,
and who should greet us first, but Mrs. Mallard:
Oh well, we have 3 ducks in the freezer, so better than none!

Há algumas semanas,

Há algumas semanas,
There is a small chest on the stage and a sex swing hung off to one side.
Patent leather blue pumps =check
And I am not a woman of many words.

The moms love to party!
Don't get me wrong ... I think it was violent and tragic ...
It's our passion and love for beading.
it made me grin knowingly.
